Born Derby, lives Lutterworth, Leics with daughter and cat. Education:
Joseph Wright School of Art, Derby and Derby and Cardiff Art Colleges
to study fine art, painting. English at Sussex University and
Library studies M.A. at Loughborough. Work: Children's Librarian
in Leicester and English teacher in Derby. Currently teaching
at Leicester Adult Education Centre. Winner of 2000 Fidler Award
for a first childrens novel. Hobbies: learning Italian (not very
well).

Staying with their father in a bizarre Gothic house in a sinister
woodland, Megan and her younger brother, Brand, are struggling
