Children's/Teen Writing
I was born and brought up in South Leicestershire and my first two books were inspired by a local legend (the story of John and Jane Ball, the highwayman and his wife), and local history (deserted villages in Leicestershire, some abandoned as a result of the plague). These are both ghost stories. The three books due out with Macmillan are about a witch and are humorous. I am also a member of the local Federation of Children's books. I have three children aged 15, 11 and 7 to keep me on my toes as far as children's fiction is concerned, not to mention everything else as well!

Publications
'Ghost Riders' (Chillers series age 7-9, A&C Black/Puffin); 'Abracadabra' (Graffix series for those with reading difficulty, approx. age 10-14, A&C Black). Three books in 4-6 age range due out with Macmillan early 2002.

Performance Work
Words Out Festival 1998. Reading at Christ the King School and Loughborough library.

Availability
As I work from home I am flexible.
