Children's Writer
Linda Kempton is an experienced workshop leader and writing tutor. She has just finished a seven year stint teaching writing to both graduates and undergraduates at the University of Derby, and has worked as an Arts Council Writer in Residence at a men's high security prison in Leicestershire. Her most recent adventure was in Jamaica where she spent a month on an East Midlands Arts Writer's Exchange. She has been nominated and shortlisted for several major writing awards. She writes mainly for children but has published adult work too.
