Celebration, FL
On a large tract of land south of its complex of theme parks near Orlando, Disney has been developing a town, Celebration, which is designed to emphasize community. The plan generally follows New Urbanist guidelines about walkability, street patterns, positioning of houses, mixed income housing, treatment of automobiles, and the like. The first phase was built around a downtown area, with a small lake; later phases will extend north and south.
