FENTS! There you are, look!  I told you
it was a real word.  Rag-speak for remnants,
bargains.  Browsers welcome!
I may be some time!
 
And it was on a triple as I recall, top left.
If you'd let me have it, I would have beaten you.
If I'd had fents I could have had fringe.
That would have left it wide open for gathered,
and that would have given me a seven-letter word.
Design might have come in somewhere,
pleats and pucker, knitting, tat and angora.
I'd have had it in the bag, zipped up,
could have won easily.
