Classicism at Ebisu Place
The basement mall at Ebisu Garden Place opens out into a huge glass-vaulted space open at both ends. Through the glass, on one side you see the walls of a tall modernist office building, on the other side a Mitsukoshi department store with a pomo dream of slimmed-down classical references. At one end you look out on the plaza. At the other, framed by the vaulting, stands the Chateau.
