A vulnerable location
The Chateau's vulnerability is accentuated by its position as the focus of the whole development, framed at the end of the vaulted plaza, looked down on by all the tall buildings. As is common in Japan, this focal building is inaccessible except to a privileged group. You cannot get inside the Chateau unless you go to its expensive restaurant or join its exclusive club; these are accessible from the basement mall where the Chateau maintains an unobtrusive elevator.
