Grammar and place details
Any place grammar distinguishes aspects of an area and applies norms and expectations. Some places have more detailed grammar than others; they might specify where you can walk, what you do in the room, what clothes are appropriate, how the room must be decorated, what shape a building ought to have, and so on. Place grammars can be elaborated for many reasons, not only for theming but for architectural effects, for security, to preserve uniqueness, and so on. Themed places have very explicit grammars controlling many aspects of the place's appearance, atmosphere, and activities. But any place might have its grammar elaborated in a similar way, for other purposes.
