• grid_foliage  [uploaded - 25 Nov 03] - the image of a resistor was cut and pasted over and over to create the image of a grid, which was then layered over the photograph of a tree backlit by a spotlight. [view animation]

• fake_man_machine  [uploaded - 25 Nov 03] - a manipulated image of some cells from plasma was layered over a photograph of the Pilton Man. [view animation]



• adigit_woman  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - 4 layered photographs: a mask, a circuit board, a burning bus in Delhi, a hooded Hamas soldier. I wanted to create the effect of a disemboddied face that seemed to appear and disappear behind a grid. The hooded soldier can not be seen, but it is there. [view animation]



• amask_multiples  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - 2 layered photographs: a mask, a resistor. The image of a resistor was cut and pasted over and over into a blank template to create a pattern. The mask was animated and a screen capture was taken. The screen capture was then layered over the resistors. The intention was to create a series of abstract heads as seen through some kind of signal noise. [view animation]

• burn_baby_burn  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - 3 photographs: towers in New York, Baghdad in flames, priest baptizing child.



• skull_map  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - skull from archaeological dig in the Middle East, scanned sketch of a proposed website interface.



• sewer_head  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - several photographs, can't recall all of them: head of mannequin in storefront in Vancouver, valves from sewer controls in New York, wires and grids.



• war_keys  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - 2 photographs: bomb exploding in Iraq, hand & keyboard.



• terror_grid  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - 3 photographs: Hamas soldier, circuit board, flames from suicide bombing in Israel. This image is one of the layers in adigit_woman [see above].



• key_robo  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - several images, but this one has been worked over so many times that I forget all the steps: old reel to reel tape recorder, scanned motherboard from an old computer, scanned graph paper.



• spider_type_words  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - scanned resistor removed from the inside of a tube resistor, screenshot of a digital poem, poster of several women in bikinis [just the legs].



• bishop_hatch  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - 2 photographs: hatch from a nuclear power plant, bishop in an arched window.



• circuit_eye  [uploaded - 16 Nov 03] - This one has changed so often, I barely remember the starting point: eye scanned from an art object called The Lady From Donalda, metal framework, other images to add colour.



• galaxy_soldiers  [uploaded - 15 Nov 03] - 3 layered photographs: soldiers patrolling a ridge in Afghanistan, a cache of weapons, our galaxy. My intention was to make a pixelated, high contrast abstraction for use as a background animation. I wanted a seemingly endless stream of soldiers. [view animation]
