Our Valentine's special continues in the original spirit of frAme by exploring culture and technology but this time we look at how they are interwoven with that most pre-eminent proposition: Love. It was a pleasure to guest edit this 4th issue of trAce's ezine of critical thought and ideas. In this collection, you'll find essays and mixed genre works in web-based and straight text formats. I often felt the medium itself was defining new ways of looking at love, romance and intimacy. In some works, this resulted in a media blitz of ideas and in others stark simplicity. Recurrently there is the search for meaning, for entanglement with the essence of love, for a debunking of its imposters. And, yes, even in our most cynical time, genuine love is broached in this most digital environment.    Christy Sheffield Sanford
