An all night patrol of the downtown area succeeded in keeping the number of rock throwing incidents down last night, according to Police captain Norvell S. Pinge. While no actual rock assaults were reported, rocks were found in the middle of 7th Street, evidently having been tossed or hurled there with great force previously. "It's really a pain having to drive your car around these rocks," said passing motorist Jeff Heen. "It's a hazard for the tires." Street crews were called out overtime to remove the offensive missals. "I want to assure everyone that we're not giving up until the offenders have been captured and fined," said Captain Pinge. "You can bet on that."
