Offers several collections of fiction, including one devoted to "anti-censorship fiction" and another devoted to works of hypertext. Also many essays and columns and an archive of audio programs that are broadcast every week on the Web as streaming audio. The site's director, Mark Amerika, is a proponent of the "Avant-Pop" style. Literature Online

Chadwyck-Healey’s huge searchable database of literature is devoted mostly to public-domain material but includes the work of over 100 20th-Century British poets and some contemporary American poets. Subscriptions are aimed at libraries and range from about $900 to $20,000. The site also hosts a writer-in-residence page that is accessible to the public for free.

A Little Poetry

Contemporary poetry from around the world, mostly by lesser-known writers. Some work has been previously published. There are several collections here, some grouped by themes such as "love" or "humor," and a "Wondrous Wins" page displays the most popular poems of the month, determined by visitor votes.
