Web Projects

If you have an address you'd like to share, please do. I recently discovered a Russian woman artist-writer who addresses many web-spawned issues and deals with many of the high tech conventions. Olia Lialina. I had seen her piece, "When my Boyfriend Came back from the War," which is on many links lists, but I found she has done many more pieces. One that is very amusing is http://www.c3.hu/collection/agatha/ Little text strips appear so that the characters can speak.

Speaking of which, Saada, how are internet connections in Nottingham? Expensive? I was in Aix-en-Provence when France Telecom was in charge and they were about to have competition. I don't know if rates went down.

Here is a Rita Dove poem, "Lady Freedom Among Us," presented in a web version. I think Real Audio would have been a better choice. The au takes too long to appear. Simple, attractive presentation. What do you think?

powerful stuff. This whole thing is Too Depressing - at times - makes me wonder if maybe we are all not only just another cosmic accident - but one to be avoided next time around.

And agree - realaudio works for me. It is quick, no download time to sepak of, ever - despite the size or length of script - it seems.

I received a promotional email from Plumb Design this morning. This reminded me that to my taste they created the best Commercial/Educational project I have ever seen.

This is probably the most poetic, innovative, creative Thesaurus you will ever see! However, dump your cache before you go and, only go if your machine is pretty good.
