For just a moment
the sun pauses
over the pineapple
Goan beach,
where I'm dreaming of Heathrow,
Sunday dinner and
Gran.
For just a moment
the day stops
near Gran's cold,
ash-ridden stove,
while the Solstice
watches over
that last
shortest day.
