I am a Canadian writer and visual artist. I have worked as an arts journalist and travel writer. I have published one non-fiction book. My photography and mixed media work has been exhibited and collected by public galleries, museums and archives. Over the past 20 years I have been awarded several grants for both writing and photography. In 1997, after a year in Asia Minor, I moved to the west coast of Canada and began to work with digital tools. My work has been featured in several online publications. I have been an active member of the trAce online community since 1999 and was the first writer/artist to be awarded a Writer's Studio. I am drawn particularly to ruins. I am fascinated by marginal territories - real or virtual. I admit to a certain streak of impishness. Many of the texts and images on this website were made possible through the generous support of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. Many thanks to the artists, writers, editors and arts administrators who found value in my work.
