trAce
is a busy 24-hour community for writers and readers across the world,
and our online interactions are at the heart of it. We write, share
our reading, critique each others' work, discuss our favourite books
and talk all the time. If you have a good idea for a project you'll
always find someone eager to participate. You can join web-based
discussions; submit your writing for others to read and discuss;
and take part in informal chats or scheduled events in the Chatroom
or in a MOO-based virtual meeting room.

This system offers an excellent help page plus live chat and instant
messaging. This is the place for general social chatter, to discuss
writing issues and to workshop your writing. We hope you'll join
us.

You
are welcome to read the discussions as a guest without registering,
but in order to post messages you must sign up (this is a separate
process from joining trAce). To do this you are required to accept
cookies and to give a name and password. (Privacy Policy ) To cancel your

of the trAce community, but please note that by joining one you
do not automatically become registered with the other.
Using
WebBoard
The
trAce WebBoard has an excellent Help section (click HELP on the
black menubar). In addition, we have gathered a beginner's introduction
and some frequently asked questions, as well as a sample of the
kind of things we've talked about in the past. If you need any
help with using the WebBoard discussion area or the trAce site,
or for any other queries, you can ask our Volunteer Mentors.
More
helpful information is available by clicking HELP on the WebBoard
black menubar. /more

MOO
Activities
It
takes a little time to learn how to interact in a MOO, also called
a text-based virtual community, but it's definitely worth the
effort.
If
you're a beginner to MOOing, try our Beginner's
Tutorial. Or you can view the trAce
meeting room on the Web.
Community
principles
trAce

writers, readers and other artists. In support of that purpose,

Principle of Artistic and Intellectual Freedom, and
-
the Principle of Responsible Behaviour.
