The delinking of labor from labor contracts, or the transformation of those contracts into individualized freelance agreements, reinforces the blow dealt to organizing by the dislocation of work from a particular place.  When workers have no means of comparing their work situations, when they labor under many individualized agreements, it is very difficult to achieve any form of consensus.  Because digital workers often remain isolated, the work of building solidarity must begin at some place other than work.
