I
began to work daily on my garden--the terraced flats, the high plateau.
I knew once I'd finished, you would arrive. Finished? Well, nothing's
perfect. Already I've needed Sevin and Roundup. The heart-shaped leaves
fell off the red bud tree.
The Garden of Eden was a lure. Allure. Step into my garden said the spider to the fly. I admit it, sometimes you are my victim. Sometimes I see you planting me. What does it matter when there is love. And spiritual bonding. Out my window, I see the hibiscus, a double pink. Tomorrow, I begin the fountain. |
