In your dreams, have you ever had that shocking sensation of falling through space? This next bit is like that, except for the part where you wake up safe in your bed. Here you just go on tumbling through a whirling blackness. You can see nothing except occasional copies of the Everlasting Book, which keep smacking into your forehead.
Then all of a sudden the lights come on and you wake up safe in your bed (okay, we lied). Only it isn't really your bed (no we didn't), it's your bunk on the black ship. Hattie sits nearby playing with one of those highly significant snowball toys. The figure within the globe is the Sky God himself.
"It's his price/earnings ratio," the Pirate Queen explains. "The big dope never saw it coming."
