AND HIS GIRL FRIEND: The Rain
sang loudest at the piano bar. Everything from polka to hard rock--whether she knew the
words or not. The Wind boogied all night long. And I find nothing to resent, at that. But
I know the storm will pass, and leave behind a sky that looks like an ostrich-feather boa
tossed carelessly on a blue tile floor. And I'll feel just like
the woman who comes in to do the cleaning up. |
