Different Gestures

Here are some brief attempts at different textual gestures using links and repetitions. This section is relatively self-contained, with only a few links in or out of the field.

The criticism of Kwinter's essay in the more traditional section of this hypertext questions premises, and suggests ways in which hypertext might create a different kind of writing and reading by emphasizing rather than refusing the qualities of the digital media.

In this section my aim is again to locate Kwinter's opinions and arguments amid larger spaces, so that the issue is not fully defined by his alternatives. But here I try to create those larger spaces by parody and almost-repetition, by abrupt juxtapositions and changes of voice.

In the discussion of universities, I try something more transgressive on a path juxtaposing sites on the Web.
