What is crucial is the kind of linking, more than the content of resistant hypertexts. They needn't be meta-discourses but they will need to be constantly open to self-reflective moves, and to extensions in directions that don't fit their current selves. You can link in new directions, so there is more available than simple irony.
This presumes, of course, that you have to tools for linking in your own hands, and are not restricted to consuming pre-linked products.
Providing such tools is a task for, among others, universities.
