Julie Noelle Chase is completing her MA in theater at the University of Colorado, Boulder. A former theater critic for the *SF Weekly,* she has directed multiple productions and is working for the Colorado Shakespeare festival for a second time this summer. Although a big fan of the bard, her favorite dead, white male playwright is Charles Ludlam: "If one is not a living mockery of one's own ideals, one has set one's ideals too low."
