He speeded up as he approached his brother's home. He climbed the cement steps two at a time threw open the outside door climbed the hallway steps three at a time knocked hard on the apartment door. When his brother didn't answer immediately he stepped back and kicked the door splitting the wood by the knob; then he smashed it with his shoulder and the lock shattered and the door flew open.
