Giselle Beiguelman is a multimedia essayist and web-artist who lives in São Paulo, Brazil, where she was born. She teaches Digital Culture and Literature in the Communication and Semiotics Program at the university there. Since 1998, she has run desvirtual.com, an editorial studio. Her work includes the award winning "The Book after the Book", and Content = No Cache. She will be a featured speaker at the New Media Poetry Conference to be held at the University of Iowa in 2002.
